How long does it take for students to get a job after the bootcamp?
This depends on the student. Not a single student has the same amount of knowledge as anyone else coming into the bootcamp, and not every student learns at the same rate as their peers. Generally, though, for our graduates, as well as for those who graduate from similar programming bootcamps, it takes two to three months, on average, to find a job within the industry. What goes into these two to three months? Building up a resume, updating LinkedIn profile, picking up specific technologies, practicing algorithms for interviews, networking, and more coding. We are serious about the “more coding” part! Spending 4 weeks in our program incredibly accelerates your ability to learn, but you must keep practicing. Software development is a continuous learning process. Your time at the Engenious University is for learning the actual craft of software test automation. The job search process is a much easier skill to pick up. Instead of stressing you about being job-ready by the end of the bootcamp, we like you to keep working on projects we assign upon graduation and continue to commit code which we would happily review even after graduation.
Is bootcamp taught in English?
Yes
Is this online or in-classroom bootcamp?
We’ve built our bootcamps around your busy schedule, thus all of our class sessions are online. However, to ensure a high productivity level, we will conduct 1:1 online sessions through the bootcamp — to help set up your computer or answer your question if you get stuck with a team assignment. We are using Zoom, the professional meeting platform, thus all online sessions are recorded for your convenience. We also use Slack for class communications which help all students and instructions to stay connected in between online sessions 24/7
Do I need to have previous QA experience?
It would be hard to understand why we are automating QA tasks without previous Manual Testing experience
Do I need to have previous programming experience?
Having previous exposure to coding in any programming language is a big plus but not a prerequisite for our bootcamps. We will teach you everything you would need to know.
Are all assignments will be individual or group?
We are breaking our entire class into groups of two, thus all coding tasks will be due from a team
How many hours I would spend on Homework?
16-20 hours per week on average
Do I need to have Android or iOS phone for the bootcamp?
Having a physical device is always plus but not necessary since we may use emulator/simulator instead
